Mwamba Chikwemba, is a female visual artist based in Lusaka, Zambia. In 2010 she completed high school and in 2012 she graduated with a certificate in InformationCommunication Technology.

In 2014 she graduated with a diploma in Public Administration from The National Institute of Public Administration. Her subject matter in Art features closely cropped portraits of women, mostly paintings in fairly large-format in acrylics. The work itself emphasizes Pride, Confidence, and beauty, usually featuring young women. The colors and head-wraps speak for the vibrating power of the female soul and eyes which share the same hardship of being a woman today in a male-dominated society.

Her interpretation is a kind of abstraction; rather than a realistic one, of young women’s position in society as a whole, creating bold, energetic, and dramatic images.
